Biography of Lucas Cruikshank
These videos rapidly gained attention in 2008, leading him to launch a video series on an exclusive Fred channel. And the first YouTube channel to get over 1 million subscribers was his channel.
Banking on Fred’s immense success, between 2010 and 2012, Nickelodeon, a satellite television network now owned by Viacom, broadcast Fred’s spin-off shows.
He is currently running his own “Lucas” YouTube channel and, apart from making and uploading YouTube videos, he is also pursuing a mainstream acting and dancing career.
He takes classes in tap, jazz, and hip-hop as well. He has a relationship with Matthew Fawcus, who was Kingsley’s YouTuber and writer.
The character of Fred was brought to the next level by Lucas Cruikshank when he and Nickelodeon joined hands. In 2009, Cruikshank shot “Fred: The Movie,” but this time it aired on Nickelodeon in September 2010, instead of releasing it on YouTube.
A franchisee around the character was created by the television network and invested in creating its sequels as well. In 2011 and 2012, the second Fred film “Fred 2: Night of the Living Fred” and the third “Fred: The Show” were aired respectively. The conclusion of the main Fred sequence was marked by the last sequel.
